“Supply Chain processes revisited to support growth”

Facing significant annual growth of it’s business, Canal+ Overseas decided to set up a management tool to optimise their forecasting and distribution of their hardware supplies such as decoders, satellite dishes, cables etc.

“Our initial objectives were clearly defined. We needed a partner with the ability to advise us on the management and optimisation of our supply chain facilities. Our main challenges are to have a business process enabling us to support our growth, reduce inventory costs and the risk of obsolescence, stock outs and lead times, some which were exceeding six months” says Mark Noblet, Director of Strategic Projects at Canal+ Overseas.

Following a tender, Canal+ Overseas chose to rely on the expertise of FuturMaster to depliy their new tool for planning, monitoring and management of material supplies.

“The fact that FuturMaster offers us a team of consultants dedicated to our business issues, facilitating the transfer of skills and expertise for the tool and with an aim to create autonomy for the company was a decisive factor in our final decision” says Francois Govignon, Project Manager for Canal+ Group.

Africa and Reunion Island will be deployed as a pilot by the end of 213 and other countries of the French overseas will follow in 2014.

The implementation of FuturMaster’s solutions allow a harmonised process of forecasting of new subscribers and sharing consumer insight with all stakeholders of the organisation in order to optimise supply and product distribution.

  • Demand Management allows accurate forecasts to be generated from reliable information generated by the various departments within the company, therefore creating the best possible forecast
  • Distribution Planning (DRP) endures the planning and coordination of all supply chain stakeholders across all stages of the distribution chain.

“The creation of a unique forecasting and supply core model for the territories of Canal+ Overseas reflects the ability of FuturMaster to assist companies in the implementation of business processes at an international level” says Etienne Allier, Marketing and Communication Director at FuturMaster.
