The perfume house Beauté Prestige International (BPI) – Shiseido group, chose FuturMaster, French leading software vendor specialised in Supply Chain optimisation, for its expertise in accompanying the Cosmetics industry major players.

In order to ensure an oustanding service quality to its customers, Beauté Prestige International (BPI) will acquire FuturMaster’s “Demand Management” solution, which will allow BPI to improve its sales forecast quality and thus optimise its inventory management and customer service level. In addition, BPI will implement the “Advanced Launch Management” solution to optimise all activities related to new product introduction.

A SOLUTION TO MEET THE CHALLENGE OF REGULAR RANGES RENEWAL

As a key player in its market, BPI develops, produces and markets perfumes for several brands such as Issey Miyake, Narciso Rodriguez, Elie Saab, Alaïa Paris, Zadig & Voltaire.

With hundreds of new references going to market every year, BPI wanted to improve the efficiency of its launch campaigns to provide marketing, commercial and Supply chain teams with a decision-making tool.

The solution should be able to respond to a dual company’s requirement: on the one hand, be able to build new products sales forecasts based on past launch campaigns, and on the other hand, facilitate the collaboration between the different stakeholders within the company all through the forecasting process, thanks to an optimised workflows management notably. After consulting many software vendors, BPI has selected FuturMaster’s “Advanced Launch Management” module, a unique solution that will enable BPI to efficiently steer needs on high financial issue products, and thus ensure new products availability during pipe in and first replenishment phases.

“We must honour our commitment towards the excellence of our products and our service quality. We must therefore stay on top of our customers and partners’ expectations throughout the perfumes design, manufacturing and distribution processes,” says Corinne Dalançon, Shiseido Forecast Manager. “To address the stake of frequent launches, we needed a tool enabling us to quickly build reliable forecasts, while involving different stakeholders of the organisation. This is why we have chosen to rely on FuturMaster’s technological know-how. ”

BPI has also chosen to implement the ‘Demand Management’ solution in order to facilitate collaboration amongst its 13 subsidiaries and its network of over 80 distributors. By replacing its homemade product launch management tool and a demand forecasting solution by the two embedded FuturMaster modules, BPI will be able to make the internal exchanges between teams more fluid and facilitate group activities orchestration having an overall vision of its data. As part of the solutions deployment, FuturMaster consultants will provide tools design and their configuration as well as their integration within the heart of BPI’s information system. In order to smoothen FuturMaster’s solutions handling and enable BPI teams to take advantage of it, FuturMaster’s team will also ensure the transfer of required skills and share with BPI its expertise on the supply chain management best practices within the cosmetics industry.

“The launch phase represents a decisive step into the product life cycle as a failure would jeopardise new references marketing and lead to significant financial losses,” said Michel Ramis, FuturMaster’s EVP Sales & Marketing. “Our launch advanced management solution, unique on the market, aims at providing the teams involved in product design and launch with a monitoring cockpit ensuring fast and efficient decision-making, based on accurate information.”
